Otaki Civic Theatre - Seismic Strengthening

The Civic Theatre in Ōtaki underwent a significant upgrade involving extensive seismic strengthening works, a full internal refurbishment, new exterior paint finishes, and the construction of a new street-facing entrance.

Tascon played a critical role in the project by delivering the structural seismic strengthening works to the building. This included the construction of reinforced concrete beams and columns, spray-applied concrete walls, and single-sided formed concrete walls, all integrated within the existing structure.

The works required careful planning and execution to interface with the existing building fabric while meeting strict structural and quality requirements. Tascon’s experience in complex structural concrete and strengthening projects ensured the works were delivered safely and to a high standard.
